Radio Italiana 531 is South Australia’s leading Italian-language radio station, proudly serving the Italian-Australian community since 1975. Broadcasting from the heart of Adelaide, we offer a wide range of programming that celebrates Italian culture, language and heritage while keeping our community informed, connected and entertained.
Our loyal and passionate audience comes primarily from the nearly 100,000 South Australians of Italian heritage.
Radio Italiana 531 reaches both metropolitan and most regional areas of South Australia via the 531 AM signal and continues to grow our audience through the new digital platforms, including our Radio Italiana 531 App, online streaming via our website and TuneIn.
We take pride in our over 100 volunteers and talented announcers. Our dedicated volunteers represent a mix of generations, including first-generation migrants, sons and daughters of Italian migrants as well as new arrivals from Italy, reflecting the vibrant diversity of our community. We are successfully bridging the generational gap within the Italian-Australian community, bringing together many generations. Through our diverse programming and volunteer involvement, we create a space where tradition meets modernity.
Radio Italiana 531 is supported by a large number of sponsors and over 400 members, including local clubs and associations.
